Hands-on automotive training can do more than teach a trade. It can build confidence, create career opportunities, and give people a practical path toward economic independence. The Film Academy exists to make that path more accessible through high-quality instruction in Paint Protection Film (PPF), automotive window film, vinyl wrap, paint correction, ceramic coating, and business fundamentals.

The Film Academy – Where your journey to success begins.
The Film Academy is a mission-driven workforce-development and career-education organization based in Central Florida. We help individuals turn interest and determination into marketable skills, meaningful work, and sustainable opportunity. Our programs are designed for aspiring technicians, career changers, working automotive professionals, and future entrepreneurs—including people who may face financial, educational, or employment barriers. Students learn through structured, hands-on instruction in small-group settings using professional tools, quality materials, and real vehicles. We teach more than installation techniques. Students also learn workplace readiness, customer service, safety, pricing, branding, financial fundamentals, and responsible business practices. This combination helps graduates pursue employment, add valuable services to an existing business, or build a well-prepared path toward self-employment. At The Film Academy, education is not the finish line. It is the beginning of what a person can build with the right skills, guidance, and opportunity.

To expand access to high-quality, hands-on education in automotive film and surface-care trades, equipping individuals with job-ready technical skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and the confidence to create sustainable careers and greater economic independence.

We envision a future in which every motivated person - regardless of background or starting point - can access practical education, meaningful work, and the tools to build a self-sufficient future. We aim to become a trusted model for skilled-trades education by connecting technical excellence with mentorship, ethical business practices, and measurable community impact.

The Film Academy is built to serve an educational and charitable purpose: reducing barriers to skilled work, developing career-ready talent, encouraging responsible entrepreneurship, and strengthening the communities our students serve. Program revenue, charitable gifts, grants, sponsorships, and donated resources support our educational mission. Resources are directed toward instruction, facilities, curriculum, training materials, equipment, need-based student assistance, community outreach, and graduate support. Any surplus is used to advance the Academy’s mission and is not distributed to private owners.
Reduce financial and practical barriers to training through need-based scholarships, tuition assistance, sponsored seats, flexible learning opportunities, and partnerships with community organizations, subject to available funding.
Maintain a structured, hands-on curriculum reflecting current tools, materials, safety practices, installation methods, service standards, and real-world customer expectations.
Prepare students to pursue entry-level employment, advance within the automotive-restyling industry, add new services to an existing operation, or responsibly launch a small business.
Pair technical instruction with education in communication, customer care, pricing, budgeting, branding, marketing, business formation, professional ethics, and long-term planning.
Work with employers, automotive shops, manufacturers, schools, workforce-development agencies, community organizations, donors, and sponsors to expand training access and strengthen career pathways.
Establish annual targets and evaluate progress using meaningful measures such as enrollment, program completion, skill attainment, student assistance awarded, employment and self-employment milestones, continuing education, and partner participation.
The Film Academy welcomes people who are ready to learn and work toward a better future, including:
– Individuals entering the automotive-restyling industry for the first time
– Adults seeking a new career or a more independent path

The Film Academy is committed to responsible governance, careful stewardship of funds, equitable access, transparent reporting, and continuous program improvement. As the organization grows, we will report progress through measures such as:
Students learn by doing. Our programs combine guided demonstrations, supervised practice, live correction, and work on real vehicles to develop skill, judgment, and confidence.
Limited class sizes allow instructors to observe each student’s progress, correct mistakes in real time, and provide meaningful individual guidance.
Our instruction is grounded in more than two decades of real-world automotive film and surface-care experience. Students learn practical methods shaped by the demands of actual shops, vehicles, and customers.
We connect craftsmanship to opportunity. Students receive guidance on professional conduct, customer service, estimating, pricing, branding, marketing, shop operations, and responsible business growth.
We are building a network of alumni, employers, community partners, mentors, and industry supporters to help students continue learning and moving forward after training.

After more than two decades in the automotive appearance and protective-film industry, Jason Vazquez founded The Film Academy to turn real-world experience into opportunity for others.
Jason believes practical education is most powerful when technical training is combined with mentorship, business knowledge, and a clear path forward. His teaching approach breaks complex skills into a structured, understandable process while holding students to professional standards of quality, safety, integrity, and customer care.
Lasting impact takes a community. We welcome partnerships with employers, automotive businesses, product manufacturers, schools, workforce agencies, charitable organizations, donors, and volunteers who share our belief in the power of practical education.
Partners can help sponsor a student, donate tools or materials, provide mentorship, create employment pathways, support program growth, or fund need-based training opportunities.
Whether you are ready to begin a new career, strengthen an existing business, hire trained talent, or help someone access life-changing education, there is a place for you in The Film Academy’s mission.
